Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has received numerous awards for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Her family was an artistic family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of art. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. In her first two films her name was acknowledged and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three years, she was named the top female box office starter in the whole world. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw has been married three times.
