Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in the year 2010 when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the cutting edge as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of contemporary mainstream music, and independent, arty pop. Her soprano voice and knack for writing emotionally honest songs make her distinct. Polydor Records, a major music label, chose to sign Goulding and was preparing to release Goulding's debut album.
