
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is an attacking player. She is also the captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division in professional soccer for women. From 2018 to 2020, she was co-captained the women's national soccer team of America along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][9] Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her professional debut at the club and was instrumental in helping the team win its league championship. Morgan was then just 22 years old. aged, was the smallest national player in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 in which she finished second. Morgan scored the match-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. She was the second player in the United States to score 21 assists and 20 goals for 2012, making her the youngest and sixth most prolific athlete in the nation to score 20 goals in one year. Morgan was later named U.S. Soccer Female Athlete Of The Year and was also a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan was instrumental in helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was selected to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In the year 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
